Is Facebook turning into MySpace?
This latest viral app for Facebook is certainly making it look that way.
For months now dedicated Facebook users have saw the transition slowly unfold and now it seems to be coming to fruition. First the default ‘Notes’ application started to be used like the MySpace bulletin board. Then vanity URLs allowed the MySpace clingers-on to give their profile a little wackiness with a custom username, now it’s been reported that Facebook is to be phasing out its regional networks.
And, of course, stalker alert. The Facebook crowd was supposed to be a different type of crowd. Not bothered by vanity, they would allow the worst pictures of them to grace the internet- some of the braver ones even kept them tagged.
Now we see that Facebook users actually believe in all this ‘who’s viewing my profile?’ tripe. What next? ‘Facebook is going to be deleted if you don’t start replying to these messages’ messages?
What does everyone think?

To me myspace has always been a site where people have been trying to increase their profile hoping to find there big break which I don’t think facebook is being used for however what used to be something I use to stay in touch with friends has become a networking tool for business and pleasure. If others use it like this too then I can see why there interested in knowing who’s viewing their profile but its because the use of facebook by its crowd is changing.
