Nokia 97: Don’t call it a comeback

The tagline ‘Don’t call it a comeback’ is bound only to confuse. A simple Google search (though there are other search engines available, etc) for ‘Nokia N97′ reveals a few images that are not the current model.

A relative newcomer to tech blogging, my natural assumption was that Nokia had relaunched a previous phone with some stunning new features- apparently not.

The only assumption one can now make is that Nokia is referring more to its slight hiccup in sales. Sales lost to the likes of Blackberry, Apple, Google and pretty much everyone else who’s made a phone in the last 18 months.

While the above video is a good advert- I’ll be the first to admit, I want to see it in a cinema- whether or not it has the viral factor is questionable.

The very nature of the phone, and its Facebook connections; however, seem already to be making a storm. Video? Not that viral. Kudos around phone? Viral indeed.
