Episodic campaigns like this should be doing well. Freak on MySpace has good viewing figures and Maybeline recently signed up Sex and the City writer, Candace Bushnell, to write them a story for one.

We’ve finally got our hands on the code for the Who Killed Summer mini-player.

In all honesty, it confuses me more than I dare say. Will be keeping my eyes peeled on this one to see how it pans out. So far, I’m not sure it will live up to much.

This raises the question of viral accessibility and ease of use. The idea behind ‘Who Killed Summer’ is a brilliant one. The execution, thus far, has left much to be desired.

Who Killed Summer follows the lives of six music lovers from across Europe as Vodafone takes them on a trip of a lifetime.

By the end of the first episode one will be dead and the other will be a killer.

WKS is being clever- combining its 20 episodes with blogs from the WKS ‘contestants’ and crew and using a mix of HD footage (supposedly taken by the filming crew) and mobile phone footage of gigs.

What’s more, WKS are making a murder-mystery universe. References in the show can lead to clues, found by Googling names and looking up bands on MySpace.
